In Rapid Pursuit

Posted on: March 10, 2008

Well, it has been a while since I have posted to this lovely blog-thing of mine!  I am still working out the significance of a blog, especially one that I write.  I don’t know that I really have that much to say.  But. . . her is a mind-dump, or sorts, for now.

      — I bought my new MacBook!  I know. . . .many of you said not to do it.  Many of you were in great favor of this new purchase.  I did it.  And, so     far, I am loving it.  Have no fear PC users. . . I am still using you at work and have no plans to get rid of them any time soon, although, we have needed a new computer system for a while now.

— My friend, PD Ross, has given me many things to laugh at this week!  Saturday night, he dropped his bass on his toe in the middle of our worship set.  Have you ever tried to lead worship with a band that can’t get it together because they are laughing?  NOT VERY EASY, but fun!!!!    He also bought a conversion van.  You know, like with blinds on the windows and lights around the top.  HILARIOUS!

 — Has your faith ever been tested?  If so, is this from God or the devil?  What is the difference between testing and temptation?

— Who am I without the labels I put on myself?  Can I even get to that person?  Why am I so afraid to get to that person?

— Today I had two patients who need tons of dental work and really don’t have the money to pay for it.  How can I let someone make the decision to give up on their dental health because of money?  I am thinking and praying through a way to help more people in this situation.  It is easy when someone truly doesn’t have the money.  It becomes much harder when someone does have the money, but aren’t willing to make the sacrifices to restore their dental health.  How can I remove my judgement from that situation?

 — Why am I having such a hard time getting this post to line up right?  Or, maybe the better question is why do I care?????  I am giving up!

I don’t know.  These are only a few of the rambling thoughts and questions in my head tonight.  I have tons of them, but I am going to clear my mind to prepare for my trip to Atlanta on Wednesday.  I will get tons of dental knowledge that will be totally useless to you guys unless you need me to do some dental work.  Then you will be happy I made the trip!!!  Good times. . . learning and catching up with friends!!

My van is so pimp. You know it.

Hi Tracy,

I will pray on the idea of your helping set-up some sort of
dental clinic that the government or state could help you
with, until then have a safe and fun time in Atlanta
